1. Who we are

Traderzbook is a discipline-first trading journal platform operated from the Netherlands. When this policy mentions "we", "us", or "our", it refers to Traderzbook.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following personal data when you register:

• Email address
• Username
• Full name
• Date of birth
• Country, city, street address, and postal code
• Password (stored in hashed form only)

When you use the platform we also process:

• Trading strategies and trade logs you create
• Screenshots you upload
• Contact messages and feedback you submit
• Technical data such as page visits, page load times, and IP address for rate limiting

3. Why we collect this data

• Account creation and authentication — to provide you access to the platform
• Age verification — to ensure you meet the minimum age requirement of 16 years
• Service delivery — to store and display your trading data, strategies, and progress
• Communication — to respond to your support requests and send account-related emails
• Security — to protect the platform against abuse through rate limiting and activity monitoring
• Payment processing — to handle Premium subscription billing when applicable

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your personal data based on the following legal grounds under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)) — data necessary to provide the service you signed up for
• Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) — security monitoring and platform improvement
• Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) — age verification and financial record keeping

5. Third-party processors

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) — your account data and trading data are stored on Supabase infrastructure
• Stripe (payment processing) — handles Premium subscription billing. Stripe processes your payment details directly; we do not store credit card numbers
• Vercel (hosting) — serves the application and may process IP addresses in server logs

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

6. Data retention

Your personal data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records.

Technical logs (IP addresses, page load times) are retained for a maximum of 90 days.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)

8. Cookies

Traderzbook uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is needed because we only use strictly necessary cookies as defined by the ePrivacy Directive.

9. Data security

We protect your data through encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, private storage buckets with signed URLs, rate limiting, and server-side route protection. Screenshots are stored in private buckets and accessible only through time-limited signed URLs.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
